The 17 core constants were chosen so that none is an exact function of the others; they form the denominator of M2–M4 (M1 and M3 use those measured in the relevant editions). The 11 display constants are widely used but are combinations of core constants, or illustrate the exact-value transitions (M6); they are not in the statistics. The 3 sensitivity candidates meet the same selection rule and are used only in the sensitivity checks.
